An ad for the CarGurus website is being called “the gayest commercial of 2021” online and it’s not hard to see why.
While recent ads have tried to pull heartstrings with queer families, children, and wedding rings, the online car shopping website went in a completely different direction.

The humorous spot features a man looking for an SUV with more trunk space. His partner, however, misunderstands and thinks he’s getting dumped.
“This is never going to work. We’ve gotta move on,” the first man says, surrounded by luggage that needs to go into their SUV.
“Move on? You’re breaking up with me?” his partner asks. “Not in spandex, you’re not.”
The commercial only gets sillier as it continues with the jealous partner misunderstanding until a spokesperson comes out and makes things more clear – they can get a deal while still getting the extra space they need.
“Wait a minute,” the jealous partner responds, turning to his boyfriend. “You need space?”
“Trunk space,” the man replies.
