Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is angry over President Joe Biden’s order requiring increased COVID-19 testing and/or vaccinations for millions of workers.
“Backwards Biden was more aggressive toward unvaccinated Americans today than he has been with the Taliban,” Boebert tweeted. “God, I want a real President again.”

The statements come months after Boebert established herself as one of Congress’s most outspoken opponents of discrimination protections for LGBTQ people. To her, requiring workers to get tested or vaccinated is worse than being declared a terrorist organization by the U.S. government, but requiring workers to stay in the closet in order to keep a job is apparently acceptable.

Yesterday, Biden announced that he was ordering the Department of Labor to require companies with 100 or more employees to ensure that their workers are either tested for COVID-19 weekly or vaccinated against the virus. He is also ordering federal employees and contractors to be vaccinated without an option to get tested weekly.
“My job as president is to protect all Americans,” Biden said in a speech last night, explaining that many large companies – including Fox News – already have similar vaccine and testing mandates in place. “The bottom line — we’re going to protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated coworkers.”
Many Republicans have expressed their displeasure with Biden. Many – including Boebert – argued that the Constitution protects a worker’s right to be unvaccinated while keeping their job.
“Joe Biden’s absurd mandates are not more powerful than the Constitution,” she wrote.

Boebert did not get the response she was hoping for to these tweets.
1905. Jacobson vs Massachusetts. The supreme court ruled in favor of the state. Yes he CAN mandate laws when a disease effects the masses. pic.twitter.com/yPESyZn4kf

If that's true why are childhood vaccine mandates in place by public government funded schools?

I like having a President who actually wants to end the pandemic.

Gee, I wonder if it has to do with antivaxxers killing more people than the taliban?

So, you're saying you want the guy back that actually negotiated with the Taliban and released 5,000 terrorists?

Boebert has a long history of anti-LGBTQ activism, including a time when she got mad at Spongebob Squarepants for coming out as gay, which he never did.
Despite being an outspoken opponent of job discrimination against people who refuse to get vaccinated, Boebert opposes legislation to ban job discrimination against LGBTQ people.
This past February, she held a press conference to denounce the Equality Act, which would add sexual orientation and gender identity to federal civil rights legislation, where she said she is raising her four sons “to be men” and she is “proud of that,” suggesting that that would protect them from the kind of discrimination the Equality Act bans.
