Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s constant takedowns of Fox News reporter Peter Doocy tickle the internet every time and has launched the hashtag #PsakiBomb. Every day he tries to ask a “gotcha” question – and every day he comes up empty-handed and ends up looking like an idiot.

Psaki was on vacation last week and the rightwing network tried to spin her time off as some sort of conspiracy to avoid answering questions about Afghanistan. But, as scheduled, she’s back on the job and Twitter is ready for today’s #PsakiBomb.

Psaki has quickly emerged as the most popular and engaging Biden administration official with her quick wit and forthright manner. After four years of Trump flunkies blatantly lying, attacking reporters over negative coverage, and avoiding outlets other than rightwing media, Americans and reporters have found her refreshing and honest.

But as she troops out to brief the press after a week away, Twitter is waiting with excitement for her to tear into Doocy when he inevitably asks whether she went on a pre-scheduled vacation for nefarious reasons.

#PsakiBomb is already trending – and video of the Press Secretary cutting down Doocy’s regular attempts to make news is going viral for the umpteenth time.
