For our second annual Pride in Pictures, LGBTQ Nation asked readers to submit a meaningful photo of themselves at Pride.

We have absolutely loved seeing your joy, your glitter, your fabulous outfits, and of course, your pride. Now, we’re spending the summer sharing some of our favorite photos and stories with all of you.

What makes this photo special to you?

This is my then-8-year-old son, Nathan loving his glitter tattoo of an animal paw that he chose, as we have cats and it is orange to represent our ginger cat, Thomas. Myself and one of my sisters took Nathan down to the Pride Parade in Manchester, England, as I want my son to be open-minded as he grows up and to not hate people for being who they truly are. He had an absolute BALL, got covered in stickers, and given free things!
