A church in Auburn, Indiana, got kicked out of the space it rented after it posted an anti-LGBTQ sign.
In late June, the Remnant Fellowship Church posted a sign that said, “LGBTQ is a hate crime against God. Repent.”
A smaller sign attached to the main sign said, “All are welcome.”
Robert Sturges, a church elder, said that it’s a message of “love.”

“We’re trying to reach a certain group of people,” he said. “They’re being told in our culture that homosexuality, transvestites, lesbianism, and sexual immorality is ok. But the Bible clearly says that those who practice these things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. In fact, it warns them that the wrath of God will abide upon them. And in the judgment, they will be lost and they will be sent to hell forever. We believe that. That’s our faith.”
At one point, someone even rearranged the letters in the sign to say: “Stay open-minded.”
Now it appears that the church has left the building.
“I just wanted to come and look and check the sign out and they were gone. The sign and everything,” said resident Tammy Kessler.
A church representatove told Raw Story that they had been evicted.
“It’s been evicted. Looking for another building.”
