Hillary Clinton is not done with political life, announcing on Monday that she will, as expected, launch a political action organization to fight against the Trump agenda.
Clinton announced via an email to supporters and through a series of tweets the the group, Onward Together, will raise funds for five progressive organizations: Swing Left, targeting seats in swing districts; Emerge America, working to get women to run for office; racial justice and voter rights group Color of Change; Indivisible, a group helping people reach their representatives in Congress; and Run for Something, a group encouraging citizens to run for office.
“In some cases, we’ll provide direct funding to these organizations. For others, we’ll help amplify their work and do what we can to help them continue to grow their audiences and expand their reach,” the email read.
“I believe more fiercely than ever that citizen engagement at every level is central to a strong and vibrant democracy,” Clinton added.

The effort has been organized over the past few months with former DNC chair Howard Dean, who recently explained the thinking behind the group to BuzzFeed News.
“We’re not looking to duplicate or replace the DNC or the DCCC or all that stuff,” Dean said. “We’re looking to give these folks the opportunity to do the building they’re already doing on their terms, but in a more organized way, when the one hand knows what the other hand is doing.”
The last few months, I've been reflecting, spending time with family—and, yes, taking walks in the woods.
