A man in Taiwan found an amazing way to propose to his partner.

Hsieh-Lung and Guo have been together for seven years, and Hsieh-Lung went to a park they used to frequent. He gave balloons to the strangers there and told them to hand the balloons to his partner after he proposed.

But he didn’t tell them that Guo was a man.

While there was a person in the crowd who doesn’t approve of marriage for same-sex couples, the participants were generally awesome about what they were witnessing.

It’s easy to see why the video already has 1.8 million views.

Taiwan’s highest court is considering a case that may result in the legalization of marriage for same-sex couples. If the court rules in favor of equality, Taiwan would be the first country in Asia to recognize same-sex marriage.
