Save the date! If you weren’t already making plans to be in Manhattan on June 25 for the PrideFest, you won’t want to miss the headline act just announced: LeAnn Rimes!
“The LGBTQ community is family to me. We have been so supportive of each other over my entire career and my music wouldn’t be the same without their love and quite frankly, their inspiration,” Rimes said in a statement, published by NewNowNext. “I am so honored and excited to perform at PrideFest. Get ready, it’s going to be epic!”
The Pride March ends in New York City’s West Village and that’s where Rimes will perform, on Hudson Street.
“LeAnn’s performance is sure to bring things to a whole new level,” PrideFest director Lori Roberto Fine said in a statement announcing details of the daylong event, which also includes Patti LaBelle, Years and Years and Tegan and Sara — plus an unnamed “diva” who reportedly will grace the stage at the Dance at the Pier Saturday night. No names yet but we’ve got our eyes peeled.
