It’s been a rough week, but RuPaul is giving us something to look forward to. The “Drag Race” host announced Friday that she’ll be dropping her 10th album next week.
The announcement came in response to a fan’s tweet about their RuPaul album collection.

No word yet on whether the album is being produced by Lucien Piane. The music producer and frequent “Drag Race” judge posted a series of tweets shortly before election day that hurtled a variety of accusations at Ellen DeGeneres, Portia DeRossi, Perez Hilton, Lady Gaga, Anderson Cooper, and Madonna, as well as a variety of conspiracy theories. The tirade caused some to express concern about his mental health.
Piane has worked on three RuPaul albums: “Champion” (2009), “Glamazon” (2011), and “Born Naked” (2014). RuPaul’s last album, “Butch Queen,” came out in 2016.
Aside from questions about Piane’s possible involvement, the early response was enthusiastic.

For some, the thought of a new album brought back really specific memories.

In the meantime, remember where it all began, with “Supermodel (You Better Work).”
