Homocon billionaire Peter Thiel donating $1.25 million to elect Donald Trump

Homocon billionaire Peter Thiel donating $1.25 million to elect Donald Trump

After some speculation, we now know gay billionaire investor Peter Thiel is still supporting Donald Trump. He will give his first donation to the Republican candidate for president, in the amount of $1.25 million, reports The New York Times. The money will come through a combination of giving to super PACs and direct contributions to the campaign.

This in spite of Trump’s anti-LGBTQ stances, such as supporting FADA and North Carolina’s HB2, and the many sexual assault allegations against him, which currently stands at around a dozen women.

Thiel, who co-founded PayPal and sits on the board at Facebook, spoke at the Republican National Convention, where he was the first openly gay speaker to mention his sexual orientation.

“I am proud to be gay, I am proud to be a Republican but most of all I am proud to be an American,” he said.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, has done much better with the Silicon Valley crowd than has Trump, even with Thiel’s money taken into account. Clinton, according to tracker Crowdpac, has received around $8 million from Silicon Valley, compared to Trump’s $300,000 prior to the Thiel donation, CNBC reports.
