Adam Lambert is oozing machismo, rough, tough and inked in the first picture of the pop singer in full costume for Fox’s reimagined Rocky Horror Picture Show, set to debut this fall.
The 2009 American Idol alum — who this week performed on television and knocked it out of the park with an incredible cover of George Michael’s “Faith” — provided the sneak peek at how he’ll look as Eddie in a post on Instagram.
Hunched-over, spike-collared and shouldered, and of course heavily-mascared, Lambert bears little resemblance to the character originated by Meatloaf in the 1975 classic, which is likely no accident.
Lambert is not the only out LGBT performer, of course, in Fox television’s reboot; Laverne Cox stars as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the lead role originally played by Tim Curry, who is part of the cast in a so far undisclosed role.
