Fairy tale on Hulu teaches children about the joys of same-sex love

Hulu is presenting a brand new cartoon that casually depicts queer love in a normal, easy-to-grasp way.

A same-sex relationship is baked into the premise of Rosaline, which follows the plight of our titular heroine as she stumbles through an enchanted forest on the way to see her true love who, lo and behold, is a woman.

The four-minute short is the brainchild of Daniel Errico, who also created the 2015 LGBTQ-themed cartoon “The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived,” also available on Hulu.

Talking to The Huffington Post, Errico said:

Historically, kids’ media shies away from LGBT love, marriage and identity, which can cause an imbalance. We are missing an opportunity to foster children’s natural ability to accept and understand themselves and others, and that can have serious consequences later on in life. I grew up with stories I could relate to that affected my sense of self in a positive way, and every child deserves the same chance.”

Feel free to drop all your societal obligations this second to hunker down with the enchanting animated short.
