Azealia Banks banned from Twitter for homophobic Zayn Malik rant

Yesterday we reported that obnoxious rap artist Azealia Banks went on another rant, taking to Twitter to call One Direction’s Zayn Malik a “faggot,” a “sand nigga,” a “dick rider,” a “punjab,” and a “paki.”

After accusing Malik of leaking her phone number, she wrote: “u were the only paki in the group and you knew you were there for a reason.”

“your mother is a dirty refugee who won’t be granted asylum.”

The series of Tweets wound up getting her fired from a headlining gig at the Rinse I Born & Bred festival in June.

Organizers immediately dropped her from the roster after learning of the attack.

Now, the rapper is in even more hot water: she’s been banned from Twitter.

As of this writing, her account is listed as suspended, with her profile reading, “Account suspended. This account has been suspended. Learn more about why Twitter suspends accounts, or return to your timeline.”

The reason?

Abusive Tweets or behavior. We may suspend an account if it has been reported to us as violating our Rules surrounding abuse.”

“When an account engages in abusive behavior, like sending threats to others or impersonating other accounts, we may suspend it temporarily or, in some cases, permanently.”

Hopefully the ban is permanent. It certainly deserves to be.

This is far from Banks first offensive Twitter diatribe.

In September 2015, she claimed the LGBTQ community is the KKK, writing that she wants to pepper spray “a gay man in the face.”
