American Idol contestant La’Porsha Renae has taken to Twitter to reveal she doesn’t “agree” with LGBTQ “life choices.”
22-year-old La’Porsha, who hails from Mississippi, has already received plenty of displeased reactions to her screed:

During a press call following her loss to Trent Harmon, La’Porscha said the following about LGBTQ people:

They are people just like us. They’re not animals as someone stated before,” the 22-year-old told a press call.
“They’re people with feelings. Although all of us may not agree with that particular lifestyle for religious reasons, whatever the reason is, you still treat each other with respect.
“I am one of the people who don’t really agree with that lifestyle. I wasn’t brought up that way. It wasn’t how I was raised.”
Perhaps in order to check every conceivable cliche off her checklist, she also implied that she has lots of gay friends.
