Salesforce CEO Marc Benoiff has been a powerhouse behind efforts to fight recent so-called “religious freedom” laws that are actually anti-LGBT measures meant to allow Christians to discriminate. Salesforce was one of the first to oppose Indiana’s law, North Carolina’s, and Arkansas’. They also put pressure on Georgia’s Governor Nathan Deal to veto that state’s proposed law.
Now, they’re thanking Deal (with a little help from Harvey Milk) with a quick but beautiful video that really goes to the heart of the matter: You gotta give them hope. Notice that Governor Deal liked the tweet.
Thank you Georgia. We applaud @GovernorDeal's decision to veto HB 757. @GAprospers pic.twitter.com/tkKdDeKJTL
