Kim Davis totally flopped in TIME Person of the Year poll

Good news: Kim David may soon be out of the news cycle altogether.

The results for TIME’s Person of the Year poll just came in — and, unlike the rest of us, it’s not good news for the headstrong Rowan County clerk.

Briefly thrown in jail earlier this year, Davis earned notoriety by defying court orders to stop blocking same-sex marriages.

Davis was one of the nominees for TIME’s Person of the Year award — which pays tribute to the person who “for better or for worse… has done the most to influence the events of the year”.

The public voted. And the winner is definitely not Davis.

In fact, she placed 55th out of 60 in the poll with 0.6% of the vote.

She fell behind the likes of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Syrian President Bashar Assad, and Vladimir Putin.

The poll was won by Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders won the poll, receiving 10.2% of the vote.

But she still has a (slender) chance, unfortunately — the official winner has yet to be announced.
