Adding to an ever-expanding list of celebrities, activists, and pundits weighing in on the Stonewall film — however much weigh comes from making a flash judgement based on a movie trailer, that is — comes Mara Milson, child star of Mrs. Doubtfire and Matilda, who’s been assiduously firing off Tweets accusing director Roland Emmerich of rewriting history with a cast of sinewy white gay men. Later, she goes on to lament how “kind of sad” it is that blogs such as this one are picking up her Tweets and branding them as news, proclaiming, “Better they bug me than some trans teen activist or something.”
Has anyone told Roland Emmerich that Stonewall wasn't one of the parties at his house exclusively for young, fit, white, gay men

Wasn't a purse one of the first things thrown at Stonewall?

Go ahead and have your parties, but don't try to alter history.

It's just sad.

Emmerich has said it was the studios that made him change it, buuuuut somehow I'm not buying it.

Kind of sad that my comments on Stonewall are considered news.

What I had to say about Stonewall wasn't shade, it was the truth. It's well documented that it wasn't all hot Hollywood white cis men there.

I'd rather the mainstream gay outlets tweeting at/quoting me reach out to LGBT POC right now…

Though on the other hand, that attracts attention and possible harassment. Better they bug me than some trans teen activist or something.
