NEW YORK — New York Daily News reports that two men shopping in a SoHo bodega were confronted by a homophobic man who began yelling anti-gay slurs before punching one of them in the face.

The men, Daniel Lennox-Choate and Larry Lennox-Choate, happen to be the first homosexual men to be married at West Point Military Academy.

After the 40-year-old man hit Daniel, his husband came to his defense, according to Larry’s Facebook page.

“He left covered in his own blood with his tail between his legs after I handled the situation and tossed him in the street like the coward loser he is,” Larry’s wrote.

According to police, no arrests have been made so far, but an investigation is ongoing.

“We refuse to be victims and are thankful we can defend ourselves,” Larry Lennox-Choate told the newspaper, “but are saddened by the fact that idiots like this guy might not pick two guys who went through Plebe Boxing next time.”
