BOURNE, Mass. — A heavily armed Coast Guard member, allegedly obsessed for years with an attractive former co-worker — a lesbian who married another female co-worker — is charged with fatally wounding the woman and seriously injuring her spouse.
Lisa Trubnikova was killed in a shooting in Bourne, Mass., on Thursday. Her spouse, Anna Trubnikova, was wounded and was hospitalized in stable condition.

The two women were U.S. Coast Guard petty officers.
Another Coast Guard member, Adrian Loya, of Chesapeake, Va., has been charged in the shooting.
Loya, 31, is believed to have driven to Massachusetts earlier in the week and rented a motel room near the couple’s condo complex about an hour’s drive south of Boston.
Armed with two rifles, a 9mm handgun and a shotgun, Loya is alleged to have stormed the couple’s home on Thursday. He also lit a car on fire to hamper police, planted fake bombs and opened fire on police officers, authorities said.
One police officer, Jared MacDonald, was shot in the back. MacDonald’s family said Friday he was doing well but faces a long recovery.
Loya pleaded not guilty to charges including murder, and was detained without bail.

“He became obsessed,” one family member said. “He was fixated on her.”
After the couple moved to Cape Cod, Loya continued to pursue Lisa romantically, although she showed no interest, relatives said.
