Lance Bass proposes to partner Michael Turchin: ‘He said yes’

Entertainer and former ‘N Sync band member Lance Bass and his partner Michael Turchin, an aspiring actor and model, are engaged.

Bass popped the question, presenting Turchin with a black diamond band, according to Us Weekly. Bass reportedly texted his future husband’s parents to ask for their permission first.

“He said yes,” Bass announced on Instagram on Sunday.

Dating since December 2011, the couple got engaged in New Orleans last week following ‘N Sync’s reunion performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Bass, 34, said the reunion marked a special moment for him in more ways than one.

“For the first time ever I got to perform w *NSYNC as an out entertainer and was thinking of this man,” Bass tweeted after the performance. Along with the caption, the Sirius “Dirty Pop with Lance Bass” radio host shared a photo of himself and his now fiance.

Turchin hinted at the engagement on Saturday, tweeting: “Happiest guy in the world.”

Bass came out in 2006, two years after the band’s last performance together.
