Boston police warn of robbers targeting gay men in bars, online hookup sites

BOSTON — Police in Boston are alerting the LGBT community of an ongoing investigation of several robberies in the area targeting gay men.

Bay Windows reports that police say male suspect(s) are connecting with male individuals, either in person at area bars or online via dating and hookup websites.

After meeting in person and being invited to the victim’s home, the suspect allegedly drugs the victim and robs their home.

Police say there may be more than one suspect involved in the robberies and are encouraging other victims to come forward.

No assaults have been reported in connection with the robberies.
