An Illinois state lawmaker, appearing on a Catholic radio broadcast recently, said same-sex relationships are “completely disordered” and for that reason she is “more than happy” to vote against marriage equality.
State Rep. Jeanne Ives (R-Wheaton, Ill.), speaking on the Catholic Conference of Illinois Radio Hour on Feb. 25, said gays are “trying to weasel their way into acceptability” so they can influence children in schools.
