Cyndi Lauper’s true colors: a New Yorker for marriage equality

Cyndi Lauper has joined the chorus of celebrity and every day New Yorker voicing support for marriage equality, and appeared in this video for the HRC’s “New Yorkers for Marriage Equality” campaign.

“What business do we have telling other people who they can marry and who they can’t?” asks Lauper. Watch:

In April 2010, Lauper launched the Give a Damn campaign to bring a wider awareness of discrimination of the GLBT community as part of her True Colors Fund. The campaign is to bring straight people to stand up with the LGBT community to stop discrimination.
