NEW YORK -- In their first television interview, Tyler Clementi's parents Jane and Joe Clementi talked with NBC's Kerry Sanders on Monday, telling her that the loss they still feel is "almost like a physical pain."

Just days after it was revealed that the Today Show‘s “Modern Day Wedding” contest excluded gay and lesbian couples, NBC — bowing to activist pressure — has opened the contest to same-sex couples, and is extending the entry deadline to allow gay couples time to participate.

NBC’s Today Show is taking applications for its “Modern Day Wedding Contest,” and will award the winning couple with a live wedding broadcast in October and an all-expense paid honeymoon -- but network rules deny gay and lesbian couples from participating.
