Principal ends cosmetology program after perceived gay student enrolls
BEAUMONT, Texas — The principal of the Beaumont Independent School District’s Taylor Career and Technology Center has cancelled the school’s Adult Cosmetology class that the center has offered for ten years rather than admit a student he perceived was gay, according to the program’s instructor.

During the game against Spanish Fort High School and its arch-rival Daphne High School, ESPN cameras captured students displaying a sign which read, “Purple? Man, that’s GAY.” The sign was a reference to Daphne High School colors, one of which is purple.

Anti-gay group warns parents to remove kids from classrooms led by LGBT teachers
CAROL STREAM, Ill. — The anti-gay Christian group Illinois Family Institute has launched another campaign against LGBT Americans, telling parents to remove their children from classrooms led by any teacher who is gay or lesbian, or is a faculty sponsor of a gay-straight alliance, or who has utilized LGBT-inclusive textbooks, or offers a “safe” haven for LGBT students in their classrooms.

Federal judge dismisses lawsuit by anti-gay former Georgia grad student
ATLANTA — A federal judge has ruled that a Georgia university did not violate the First Amendment rights of a graduate student when it ordered her to attend “diversity sensitivity training” because her anti-gay beliefs were “incompatible with the standards of her desired profession.”
