Texas man, separated by family from partner of 34 years, hopes for reunion

STROUD, Okla. -- A Texas man is speaking out after being separated since 2011 from his partner of more than three decades, in hopes that other gay couples will learn from his ordeal and take the legal steps necessary to prevent hostile interference from others.

And high-profile, successful LGBTs like Anderson Cooper undermine one of the most malicious lies made by the anti-gay movement: that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans people are broken, unhappy, and empty simply because of who they are and who they love.

LGBTQ people only desire to realize their right to love each other, not impose it on others. Don't fool yourself, the mob rule of democracy will shift the discussion to a determination of what marriage means for the majority, rather than the protection of minority rights by judicial rule of law. This protection is inherent in the U.S. Constitution, but many religious followers do not understand this, or even when they do, they do not value it or accept it.
