BOSTON -- As the nation celebrates National LBGT Pride Month, U.S. Sen. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on International Development and Foreign Assistance, on Friday introduced legislation that would affirm LGBT human rights are a foreign policy priority for the U.S. government.

U.S. Senators express concern over Russia’s anti-gay laws, Olympic safety

Openly gay Massachusetts lawmaker announces bid for U.S. House

MEDFORD, Mass. -- An openly gay Massachusetts state lawmaker has announced plans to seek a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives should U.S. Rep. Edward Markey (D) be successful in his bid for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by John Kerry.
