Buffalo Pride Week capped off with record parade attendance

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A record 20,000 people, up from 15,000 last year, took part in Buffalo’s annual Pride parade on Sunday, reports the Buffalo News. “It grows every year, and with this phenomenal weather, we’ll see a much bigger turnout,” said Jorien Brock, senior director of the Pride Center of Western New York, which organizes the event.

School district suspends students as a ressult of Jamey Rodemeyer bullying

EAST AMHERST, N.Y. -- The Williamsville Central School District concluded its investigation into the Jamey Rodemeyer case last week by suspending some North High School students after Amherst police closed their criminal investigation Nov. 22 without filing charges.
