NEW YORK — The lethal romp "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" got a lot of love at Sunday night's Tony Awards, nabbing the best new musical trophy on a night that also saw Audra McDonald make Broadway history, Bryan Cranston win as a rookie and four-time host Neil Patrick Harris get his own award.

NEW YORK — The musical "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder," a comedic romp in which a poor man eliminates the eight heirs ahead of him for a title, and "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," a cult off-Broadway hit that this season stars Neil Patrick Harris, led the Tony Award nominations on Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES -- Conan O'Brien kicked off the 22nd annual MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night with a challenge to gain 50 celebrity cameos for his opening segment, a shtick with Will Arnett that merged two categories, best fight and best kiss, and a musical number about hating musical numbers in big awards shows.

LOS ANGELES — Macklemore & Ryan Lewis might shop at thrift shops, but they now have a ton of Grammy gold. The rap duo won four Grammy Awards so far Sunday, including best new artist and rap album for "The Heist," beating efforts from Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Kanye West and Drake.
