Masked thugs invade Russian LGBT activist meeting, one victim may lose eye
SAINT PETERSBURG, Russia — Using baseball bats and air-pellet guns, a group of masked thugs forced their way into a meeting of LGBT equality rights activists Sunday, attacking those in attendance.

Prominent gay rights activist tortured, killed in Cameroon
YAOUNDE, Cameroon — Eric Ohena Lembembe, a prominent LGBT rights advocate and journalist was found dead at his home in Yaoundé, Cameroon on Monday evening. Lembembe was the executive director of the Cameroonian Foundation for AIDS (CAMFAIDS).
