Gay man fabricates hate crime attack

MISSOULA, Mont. -- A 22-year-old openly gay Montana man who reported he was the victim of an alleged hate crime fabricated the attack, and has pleaded guilty to charges of filing a false police report.

WASHINGTON -- President Obama on Monday signed legislation known as the "Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Families Act of 2012" into law, and is expected to have implications for the Westboro Baptist Church, the Kansas-based fringe church which has been labeled an anti-gay hate group.
