A 10-year-old girl had the best political protest sign so far this year.

Rebekah appeared at a rally to protest Trump’s rollback of transgender rights. She’s 10-years-old and knows how to make a point.

So since everyone is posting my kid on Instagram, figured I might as well too ?? #sheseverywhere #protecttranskids

Her mother Jamie Bruesehoff told The Huffington Post that Rebekah began living as a girl at age eight. “We had a 7-year-old child in crisis. With the help of some excellent professionals and a lot of learning, we all came to realize she wasn’t a boy. She was a girl.”

Rebekah is now happy and wants to use her voice to help others understand what it’s like to be transgender.

Her mother said that Rebekah has a lot of support from her community and school.

“My kid is lucky. She has the support she needs. She fits in society’s box as a girl. Not every other child is so lucky. We have to constantly be fighting for those who are most vulnerable, those who don’t fit society’s expectations for a girl or a boy and those whose skin color, religion, or immigration status put them at even greater risk.”
