Christian group calls on Trump to light White House with Christmas colors

The American Family Association is downright giddy now that Donald Trump has been elected and they’re hopeful that the incoming president will help them in their biggest priority: fighting the War on Christmas.

The Christian hate group decried Obama’s decision to light the White House in rainbow colors after the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage nationwide, saying it was politicizing a national treasure.

Speaking on the radio show “Today’s Issues,” AFA president Tim Wildmon claimed that “progressives” should rebrand as “God haters” who treat Christians like “subhumans,” but once the topic hit Christmas Wildmon and his co-hosts were off and running.

During his recent “Thank You” tour of states that voted for him in the election, Trump told his supporters that when he takes office “we are going to say Merry Christmas again.”

“Good for Donald Trump! Go, Donald, go!” Wildmon exclaimed, saying he bets liberals are “seething” because “Trump was there, sort of in your face [saying,] ‘Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas’,” according to Right Wing Watch.

But American Family Radio news director Fred Jackson took the holiday hope home by musing how awesome it would be if next year President Trump “put ‘Merry Christmas’ on the White House like Obama put the rainbow colors on the White House. Wouldn’t you love to see that?”

As if Trump needed any excuse to make the presidential residence look like the inside of a tacky shopping mall…
