For antigay hate group leader Tony Perkins, the Supreme Court is on the ballot

The Family Research Council, the group designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an extremist hate group — run by antigay activist Tony Perkins — is out with a new campaign advertisement in support of Donald Trump. The commercial, titled “In the Balance: Why the Courts Matter,” takes aim at the chief hope of Perkins and conservative Christians nationwide: that if elected Trump would select the next justices to the Supreme Court.

A Trump presidency could seek to overturn the landmark rulings of the modern era: Roe v. Wade, Loving v. Virginia, and of course, Obergefell v. Hodges which last year made marriage equality the law of the land.

“…As  Americans know all too well, those justices hold the keys to everything from health care, gun rights, abortion, religious liberty, and an endless list of issues critical to the future of our country.”
