A man wearing a “Gays For Trump” t-shirt, a “Make America Great Again” hat decorated with a Human Rights Campaign sticker, and holding a rainbow flag, assaulted a protester at a Donald Trump rally today in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Local gay and HIV activist Tony Booe claims the man worked the “Gays for Trump” booth at NC Pride, adding, “Him and a couple others were ‘mostly’ peaceful.”

The crowd chants, “USA! USA!” as the attack is taking place, and the attacker receives high-fives by some.

Police push the man off the protester. They appeared to then remove both men, as well as a third man, from the rally.

“It’s really total disrespect for the American flag,” Trump says. “Folks, that’s what’s happening to our country. That’s what’s happening. That is total disrespect for our flag. That’s what’s happening to our country. We’re gonna turn it around, folks, we’re gonna turn it around.”

Violence has been an issue at Trump rallies throughout this campaign, with both protesters and Trump supporters as the victims.
