Students at Liberty University are criticizing their school’s president, Jerry Falwell Jr., for his continued support of Donald Trump, starting a group they are calling Liberty United Against Trump.

“In the months since Jerry Falwell Jr. endorsed him, Donald Trump has been inexorably associated with Liberty University. We are students who are disappointed with President Falwell’s endorsement and are tired of being associated with one of the worst presidential candidates in American history,” a statement from the group reads. “Donald Trump does not represent our values and we want nothing to do with him.”

It goes on to point out that Trump only received “90 votes from Liberty students in Virginia’s primary election, a colossal rejection of his campaign.”

While they note that Falwell has pointed out that his support is not an official endorsement from the university itself, “he knows it is his title of president of the largest Christian university in the world that gives him political credentials.”

“Not only is Donald Trump a bad candidate for president, he is actively promoting the very things that we as Christians ought to oppose,” it continues.

It criticizes his response to the infamous Trump Tape, where he brags of committing sexual assault.

“‘We’re all sinners,’ Falwell told the media, as if sexual assault is a shoulder-shrugging issue rather than an atrocity which plagues college campuses across America, including his own.”

They want the world to know that despite what their president says in his defense, Trump does not have their support.

Falwell told CNN that he still supports Trump even after several women have come forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct. Watch him once again double down on Trump in the video below.
