North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory said in a debate with opponent Roy Cooper that Caitlyn Jenner should use the men’s facilities when she is in government owned buildings in the state.

Moderator Chuck Todd asked which bathroom she should use if she visits Charlotte, which passed an LGBT inclusive non-discrimination ordinance in February of this year that was nullified by HB2, which McCrory signed into law.

HB2 requires transgender people to use the bathrooms and locker rooms consistent with the gender on their birth certificate and not their gender identity. As it turns out, what McCrory said violates his own law, since Jenner has had the gender on her birth certificate updated to female.

Jenner took to Instagram to offer her priceless response to McCrory’s bizarre comments:

Gross, Gov. McCrory. Just gross.
