How amazing would it be if “RuPaul‘s All Stars Drag Race 2″ took place in the “American Horror Story” universe? Wonder no more, because thanks to Lee Dawson we now know and it is every bit as glorious as you might imagine.
While this is sadly make believe, there is a real world “American Horror Story” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” connection.
Actor Denis O’Hare got tips from Alaska Thunderfuck, who will appear on the new season of “Drag Race,” when preparing to play his role as Liz Taylor in “American Horror Story: Hotel.” Similarities between that character and drag queen Constance Cooper, known as Robert Sherman out of drag, have been noted, including by Cooper/Sherman.
The new season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” premieres Aug. 25 on Logo. The new season of “American Horror Story” premieres Sept. 8.
