Arrested: Man threatens FL Attorney General Pam Bondi over LGBT rights

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi got a death threat from a county worker in central Florida who accused her of hating gays and taking bribes from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

A Florida Department of Law Enforcement report says 51-year-old Kevin Cunningham was arrested Thursday after sending the threat from his work computer to a complaint feature on the Attorney General’s website.

The report says Cunningham was upset by Bondi’s appearance Wednesday at the Republican National Convention, and wrote that he’d use firearms, knives or his bare hands to get rid of her if he ever sees her.

Cunningham posted $7,000 bail and has been suspended from Orange County’s Fiscal & Operational Support Division. Jail records Friday didn’t list an attorney.
