Right wing nut unspools latest Orlando conspiracy theory: Obama knew

You’d best sit down for this one.

The “Info Wars” conservative activist who claims that the government was behind the terrorist attacks on Oklahoma City and on September 11th is spouting off again, this time about the murders of 49 people at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Fla.

“Our governments are bringing these people in and they’re allowing them to operate openly in our society so they can attack us and then have our freedoms taken,” said Alex Jones, in his latest conspiracy theory YouTube video.

But as Right Wing Watch reported, the gunman, Omar Mateen, was a U.S. citizen, born in New York City and living legally in Florida with licenses to carry concealed weapons and to work as a security officer. His parents immigrated from Afghanistan nearly three decades ago.

That inconvenient truth didn’t slow down this conspiracy theorist who suggests both our federal government and foreign allies are deliberately flooding their borders with extremist Muslims and concocting plots to murder innocents in order to justify federal dismantling of the Second Amendment and “take away guns.”
