Looks like that #GiveElsaAGirlfriend hashtag was just the beginning.
Following that mini-movement — which found folks requesting Frozen 2 feature a lesbian couple — fans are now getting their hopes up that Captain America will score himself a handsome boyfriend in an upcoming film.
These crusaders think it makes sense for Captain America to fall in love with his sprightly best friend Bucky Barnes, and generally poo-poo the choice to match him with a girl at the end of Captain America: Civil War.
Others are getting really agitated. They think it’s wrong to sexualize the friendship between two supposedly straight men. Some are jolly cross with the (purely speculative) changing of a superhero’s sexuality just so he can represent the LGBTQ community.

And others couldn’t care less, even if they were dead and in the ground.
Still, the #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend hashtag is definitely “a thing” on Twitter.
A Moments page reads, “We all grow up with role models and it should be no different for the LGBT community. Everyone has been letting Marvel know that they should #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend. ”
#GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend this would be the most iconic and beautiful thing and a great way to give the lgbt+ community representation
