Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign has added antigay pastor Gordon Klingenschmitt to his Colorado leadership team.
in case you aren’t familiar with Klingenschmitt, he believes gays are “driven by a demonic spirit of lust” to persecute Christians.
He also believes openly gay Boy Scout leaders will inevitably lead to child abuse.
He thinks “it’s a tragedy every time somebody comes out of the closet.”

And now, he’s thrilled to be teaming up with Ted Cruz.
The feeling, according to a press release, is mutual.
“I am honored to have the support of so many courageous conservatives in Colorado,” Cruz said in the prepared statement, which boasted about the formation of “his Colorado Leadership Team with the endorsement of 25 current and former elected officials and key grassroots leaders.”
