Found in Sydney and Adelaide, antigay flyers emblazoned with Batman‘s The Joker have been making their rounds through Australia.
The front of each flyer features The Joker wielding a playing card and the caption “Ya gotta be joking.”
The back includes a list of facts and statistics about gay and lesbians, quotes from the Bible, and the question “Should be be surprised?”
“Men committed shameful acts with other men,” the flier reads, “and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.”

One woman told Buzzfeed News that the fliers were being distributed in Kingford, Sydney, and another resident told the site the fliers were being found at Kurralta shopping center.
There’s no contact info on the flier. It just reads, “For more information: Read the Bible.”
Similiar cards were distributed in the Adelaide suburb of Warradale last summer during the controversy surrounding Marion Council’s decision to fly the pride flag.
