After fans expressed anger on Twitter that Donald Trump has been co-opting Adele’s hits as warm-up music for his rallies, the pop diva has told the presidential candidate in no uncertain terms that he does not, in fact, have permission to use any of her work.
Trump has been fond of playing “Rolling In The Deep” to rile up members of the crowd at campaign events, as that “we could have had it all” refrain seems to really send proliferous shivers hither and yon and utterly goose his ardent followers.

Trump is clearly a fan. He attended an Adele concert in New York last year, and played “Skyfall,” Adele’s James Bond theme, after delivering a blustery stump speech about where America is heading. (“When it crumbles, we will stand tall, face it all together…”)

“Don’t suppose he asked for her endorsement,” Tweeted one. “Hopefully she’s objected.”

Adele has now broken her silence about the association, confirming that she never endorsed Trump’s use of her music.

“Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,” a spokesman for the singer told The Independent.
We suspect she also doesn’t approve of Mike Huckabee’s insipid “Hello” parody ad.
