In a brave, moving sermon, this Methodist pastor came out to her entire congregation

After twenty-five years in the closet, a Methodist pastor has decided to reveal to her parish that she’s in a lesbian relationship.

In a sermon to the Edgerton United Methodist Church in Edgerton, Kansas, Rev. Cynthia Meyer came out in front of her entire church (which is just a few towns over from the Westboro Baptist Church.)

In the speech, Meyer, the former Assistant Dean of Students for the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, explained to the crowd that she’s no longer willing to hide who she really is.
