Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson has informed his fans that he’s been treated for cancer, but rather than making a statement through his publicist, the comic actor posted a revealing photo.
In the picture posted to his Instagram account Tuesday, the 40-year-old performer, who celebrated two years of marital bliss with husband Justin Mikita in July, can be seen with a white bandage on his face with a message expressing gratitude to Dr. Bennett for “taking the cancer out of [his] face.”
The type of cancer Ferguson had hasn’t been disclosed.
Ferguson is scheduled to headline the one-man comedy Fully Committed for a limited engagement in Spring 2016 on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre.
