Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network and host of The 700 Club, is putting his own spin on the fight for equality.
Right Wing Watch reports that after an appearance from conservative poster children Kim Davis and Barronelle Stutzman on The 700 Club in which they discussed the legal battles they lost after their blatant displays of antigay discrimination, Robertson chimed in with his thoughts on “the gays.”
After acknowledging the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of same-sex marriage, Robertson went on a tirade about how “they don’t want to stop there.”
“It is vindictive now. We’re not talking about having rights from the poor, oppressed gays, we’re talking about taking away the freedoms of everybody who disagrees with them,” Robertson stated.

He urged his viewers to take a stand for people like Davis and Stutzman, who in the gospel according to Robertson have become victims of the press, and subsequently, laughing stocks.
The televangelist punctuated his rambling with the warning, “They somehow think this is a civil rights issue. They better be careful what they’re doing because they’re taking away the rights of everybody.”
