Memphis woman accused of beating son for being ‘too feminine and too gay’

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Tennessee woman is charged with domestic assault after allegedly punching her son in the face for being “too feminine and too gay.”

Police say Jacqueline Alexander attacked her son in their Memphis apartment late Tuesday evening. They say the child had bruises on his face when they arrived.

They did not release the child’s name or age.
