Idaho amicus brief in support of Supreme Court review of marriage cases

Idaho’s governor has filed an amicus brief in all five cases that are currently before the U.S. Supreme Court seeking review of lower court decisions in marriage cases.

“Governor Otter respectfully suggests that the Court (a) wait until it has Latta before it before deciding which petition(s) to use as a vehicle for resolving the constitutionality of the man-woman definition of marriage, and at that time, (b) grant the Latta petition in addition to whichever of the currently pending petitions the Court views as the best vehicle.”
