BOSTON — Gay rights advocates will be rallying during Gordon College’s homecoming to call on the college to eliminate its ban against “homosexual behavior.”
OneGordon, an association of gay alumni, students and staff, will protest on the campus quad Saturday while homecoming events are taking place.
They’ll also gather Friday evening at First Church in Wenham and Saturday night at a restaurant in Salem.
Gordon College President D. Michael Lindsay was among over a dozen religious leaders who asked President Barack Obama this summer to create a religious exemption to federal hiring rules that protect gay and transgender workers from discrimination.
